Learn how to use Propel's AI to automate your Chime (Lofty) lead nurture and re-engagement without complex flow builders.
Chime (now Lofty) is a feature-rich real estate platform, but its "Smart Plans" can be complex and rigid. Propel provides a goal-based AI automation layer for your Chime database, handling the "messy" conversations that traditional drip campaigns can't.
How Propel Works with Chime (Lofty)
Propel integrates with Chime through your shared email inbox. By connecting both tools to the same Gmail or Microsoft 365 account, you create a seamless loop of automation and record-keeping.
1. Goal-Based Conversations
Unlike Chime’s "Smart Plans," which follow a linear flowchart, Propel uses AI to drive toward a goal. If a lead from your Chime database responds to a Propel campaign with a specific question, Propel answers it and then steers them back toward the next step (like booking a showing).
2. Automatic Activity Logging
Because Propel sends emails through your connected mailbox, Chime’s email sync feature automatically detects these messages. Every automated follow-up and AI response Propel sends will appear in the "Timeline" for that lead in Chime.
3. Campaign Re-Engagement
You can export leads from specific Chime groups (e.g., "Inactive" or "Cold Leads") and put them into a Propel Campaign. Propel handles the 1-on-1 conversations needed to find "hand-raisers" in your database, while Chime keeps the master record of the contact.

Setup Instructions
Step 1: Sync Your Inbox
- In Propel, navigate to Settings > Integrations and connect your primary business email.
- In Chime (Lofty), ensure the same email account is connected with Email Sync enabled.
Step 2: Prepare Your Listing Data
For the best results, ensure your listings are imported into Propel. This allows the AI to answer specific questions from your Chime leads about your properties.
Step 3: Run a Nurture Campaign
- Filter your leads in Chime by "Last Activity" or "Stage" (e.g., Cold).
- Export the list and import it into Propel.
- Select a Goal-Based Campaign.
- As leads respond, you will see the replies in Chime’s timeline and your shared inbox.
Best Practices
- Avoid Double-Automation: If you have an active "Smart Plan" in Chime for a lead, consider pausing it while Propel is running a campaign to avoid sending overlapping messages.
- Use Handoff Rules: Set up Handoff Rules in Propel so you are notified the moment a lead asks a complex question that require your personal expertise.
- Categorize in Chime: Once Propel identifies a "Hot" lead, manually update their stage in Chime to "Ready to Close" or "Showing Scheduled."
Troubleshooting
Replies aren't showing in Chime
- Verify Email Sync: Go to Chime's settings and make sure "Email Sync" is active for the inbox you connected to Propel.
- Check Send-As Permissions: Propel must have permission to send emails as your primary address.
